Dry ice blasting is commonly used to clean surfaces without the risk of fire or electrical issues.  Dry ice pellets vaporize on impact and the thermal shock between the below freezing pellet and the substrate removes contaminates. Dry ice blasting is not only environmentally friendly, it is also a more effective cleaning method for many applications. Because there is no left over abrasive, and dry ice is soft, dry ice blasting has many applications that are not possible with other types of blasting media.
